Political Career of Humza Yousaf
Mr. Yousaf worked as the office manager for the SNP’s Bashir Ahmad, the first MSP from an Asian and Muslim background, before becoming the first Muslim appointed to the Scottish government in 2012. He later worked for other MSPs, including Alex Salmond and Ms. Sturgeon.
He was fined £300 for operating a friend’s vehicle without insurance before he was appointed transport minister in 2016.
